Quick Facts

  • Only the calculators listed on this page are acceptable for the Math Test--Calculator portion of the test.
  • You should not utilize a calculator when you are working on your Reading, Writing and Language, or Math Test--No Calculator sections, and you must remove the calculator away during these portions of the test.

Acceptable Calculators

If you own one of these calculator with characters that are 1 inch or greater or if your calculator has a display with a raised top that might be visible to others taking the test, you'll be allowed to sit at the discretion of the test coordinator.

Only handheld devices powered by batteries can be used to test. There are no power cords allowed.

Unacceptable Calculators

You aren't allowed to use any of the following items as a calculator:

  • Laptops and other computer systems tablets, mobile phones, smartwatches or wearable technology
  • Models with the ability to connect to Internet are equipped with wireless, Bluetooth mobile, audio/video recording and playback, camera, or any other features similar to smartphones.
  • Models with a computer style (QWERTY) keypad, pen input, or stylus
  • Models that make use of electric outlets, produce noise or use a paper tape
